SUMMARY:Brisbane Open House 2021
DESCRIPTION:Brisbane Open House is a free annual event. We provide residents and visitors with the rare opportunity to discover the hidden wealth of architecture\, engineering and history in buildings and places around Brisbane city. \nSelected buildings are opened for the public with guided and self-guided tours to encourage visitors to explore\, re-examine and engage with Brisbane’s built environment. The experience opens people’s eyes and minds to good design and curious spaces. \nThe inaugural Brisbane Open House was launched in 2010 with great success\, attracting more than 12\,500 visits.  Each year the event has continued to grow. In 2019\, our tenth anniversary\, BOH attracted 85\,000 visits from over 35\,000 participants to 120 sites. \nThis year BOH is changing the way we do things. In line with our participant survey responses\, we will be creating lots of year-round offerings for smaller groups of participants. So that we can ensure the safety of our staff\, visitors\, and volunteers during the COVID pandemic\, we will take all appropriate precautions.  Look out for special expert-lead tours and digital content that we will be sharing online. \nWe have shifted our next free weekend to 10 & 11 July 2021\, positioned in a season from 26 June to 11 July\, the school holidays of 2021.
