Discover building names, “ghost signs” and other text remnants that uncover the hidden history of Brisbane’s heritage buildings.
Come and see the architectural treasure hidden in plain sight. Go on a ‘treasure hunt’ for ghost signs and other labels on buildings along the walk. Then regroup to do a guided search online for the history of the buildings. We make it easy to enjoy history in a local, relevant, accessible way. Our passionate guide, Elliott Bledsoe is available to fill in all the gaps for you.
This is “casual history” as Elliott refers to it.
Meet us at the George Street end of Burnett Lane.
